Owner, CEO and Chief Principal Scientist
As the Chief Principal Scientist for Lansource Consulting, Mr. Lance is a natural resource professional with specializations in environmental and wildlife science. Mr. Lance holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Kent State University, a master's degree in natural resource management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a master's in environmental geographic information science from Kent State University. Mr. Lance also holds certifications as a certified wildlife biologist and natural resource professional from The Wildlife Society, and The National Registry of Environmental Professionals, and also a certification as a certified erosion, sediment and stormwater inspector from EnviroCert Int.

In the field of natural resources and wildlife science, Mr. Lance has academic interests in large mammal, and predator ecology, with a focus on the role in which native vegetative species influence habitat interactions and population health. Professionally, the proper management of habitat to off-set the social impacts of negative human-wildlife interactions is his main focus. Throughout his career, Mr. Lance has performed scientific surveys relating to population dynamics, habitat assessments, and game species program management. He has performed hundreds of projects managing and restoring diverse habitat types from early-successional and grassland habitat to forest resource improvements. Mr. Lance also has performed numerous avian and general
wildlife surveys to monitor the impacts of these species prior to implementation of projects such as wind turbine farms.

In the field of environmental science, Mr. Lance is heavily experienced in storm water compliance, as well as wetland and stream delineations and permitting. He has performed thousands of storm water related projects tasked with development and technical review of SWPPP's, on-site compliance inspections, permitting, as well as overseeing and ensuring restoration of project sites. Mr. Lance has also assessed, delineated, and permitted projects in regards to wetlands and streams for the last 12 years, and has done so for clients in all categories of industry.
