As the Chief Principal Scientist for Lansource Consulting, Mr. Lance is a natural resource professional with specializations in environmental and wildlife science. Mr. Lance holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Kent State University, a master's degree in natural resource management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a master's in environmental geographic information science from Kent State University. Mr. Lance also holds certifications as a certified wildlife biologist and natural resource professional from The Wildlife Society, and The National Registry of Environmental Professionals, and also a certification as a certified erosion, sediment and stormwater inspector from EnviroCert Int.

In the field of natural resources and wildlife science, Mr. Lance has academic interests in large mammal, and predator ecology, with a focus on the role in which native vegetative species influence habitat interactions and population health. Professionally, the proper management of habitat to off-set the social impacts of negative human-wildlife interactions is his main focus. Throughout his career, Mr. Lance has performed scientific surveys relating to population dynamics, habitat assessments, and game species program management.
